We learned 19 new coral genuses today and took a dive at shark island to identify them. Imagine being underwater, being pointed the same looking mushroom coral for the 5th time when they look basically the same. And I don‘t know what it is, but being underwater makes ur brain function less. When we did a little quiz above the water and looked at the pictures, I felt quite confident. The minute we got into water, it started to be very hard. But I still got some of the corals right, surprisingly. I am very happy about it.

During the lunch break I met up with a friend for coffee who’s going to Sri Lanka and we might meet up there. After the dive, I was on schedule for feeding the turtles and inspecting them for diseases. Their names are Coral, Seaweed and Ocean. Ocean is the tiniest one. For a long time she didn’t eat much. And a few days ago she ate a MASSIVE shrimp that was in her tank over night and also ate all of the squid that we gave her. Seaweed has a big personality. He’s the largest. We also call him „Dave“. There is no reason for it, but he just has a Dave energy. Coral is like the middle child. He gets unnoticed a little bit. I want to give him another name. Maybe Steve.

In the evening I went to a full moon ceremony, they had sound meditation and ecstatic dance. It felt very empowering. And I cannot get over the incredible sunsets. Every single one is breathtaking. I feel so grateful to be able to be here for such a long time.
