I like Chiang Mai. I arrived at like 8am at my hostel and the owner is incredibly kind. I slept maybe 2h at the airport, it was awful. But surprisingly, I wasn’t that tired during the day.

At the hostel is a little kitchen and you can make breakfast and use whatever is there. After resting and making myself egg and toast, I took my dirty clothes to a laundry place and walked to a park close to a university. It was so beautiful. There was a big lake and a lot of trees. I spend nearly the whole day there, journaled a little and started reading my origami mathematics book. And now I am hooked. I also made a friend and he showed me a little bit around Old Town. He worked as an engineer in Australia and is now a meditation teacher and builds communities and tries to connect people. We went for some very cheap and incredibly good food and then he dropped me off, so I could pick up my laundry. And it was folded so carefully and it smells so good, I didn‘t think laundry could make me this happy.

Today was a very nice slow day. I also talked a lot with some people from the hostel. I like it here. The atmosphere seems very kind.
