Today started quite slowly. After a small breakfast I went to the Talin Chan Floating Market by bus. I was surprised how quiet it was! I loved it a lot. I got some mango from a very friendly old lady on a boat and amazing coffee from a small stand. While ordering I noticed that the coffee stand had all the coffee equipment…a commendante grinder, a water cooker with the long neck, a black scale with a little matt on it that is the exact one that my two friends who know a lot about coffee also have…and I don’t even know what all the other things were or are called…ANYWAY…it turned out, that the guy is getting green coffee from farmers in North Thailand and roasting it himself.

Later I realised why it has been that quiet at the market. I literally spend hours there. And why? Because I didn‘t ACTUALLY go to the FLOATING MARKET. I walked to a small local market next to it and thought well must be the floating market I see a few boats passing every now and then. So I went to the ACTUAL floating market and it was awful…well not awful, but very crowed and I didn‘t like it that much.
