After arriving at 6am in Bangkok and smelling like sweat and metal and wishing nothing more than a shower, I got disappointed at the hotel: No shower because check-in is at 2pm. So I left my bag, ate some toast with tuna and went to pick up my parents from the airport. Since the flight was delayed by over an hour, I waited there for a little bit at a café.

After like 30min drinking my coffee a guy comes up to me and tells me he is a professional photographer and took a picture of me and if I want he can send it to me. Just like that. He didn’t want anything else. And the picture was v nice. So I was like yeah, sure. We talked for a little bit and then he left to get on his flight.

When meeting my parents, I was glad we all were similarly tired and we could take the day slow. But now in retrospect, when I think about it, we managed to do a lot. We checked into the hotel at 2pm, unpacked a little and went to see a traditional dance show. Which was so nice. The costumes - just incredible. Then we visited the very beautiful and big temple Wat Pho with I think the biggest lying Buddha (I somehow missed it last time). For sunset we walked a few minutes down to the river where we could see Wat Arun in the background and then had some nice food close to the hotel. And of course - we took like a trillion pictures. My dad forgot his camera with like 5 different objectives, so now I don‘t have a camera, cause it‘s constantly in my dad‘s hands.
