I didn‘t feel well today. I woke up with stomach issues, headache, my heart beating quickly and my whole body felt as if it was out of stone, every movement felt very exhausting. I probably need a full day of rest. And drink more water. The heat was a lot yesterday. I could feel the dryness in the morning, so I drank like 2,5l before lunch. And no coffee. My pulse was already something like 95bpm. Towards the afternoon I started to feel a bit better.

Our taxi driver Sanruk took us to see some monkeys in the morning. They were close to a temple right next to a mountain. He said they live in the forest but sometimes they come here. There seemed to be stairs going up the mountain and I felt like they were for the monkeys because I did not see any people going up there - only monkeys. It was interesting to just sit and observe.

Around lunch time we reached 4 temples, each on steep hill. I only walked up to one of them because I was so exhausted. Meanwhile, Sanruk cooked fish for us and we ate together in the forest. And then we already had to take our way back since we had to go for a check up to the hospital for my dad‘s foot at 3pm.

On the way we stopped at a lagoon - an incredible swimming spot with crystal clear water, some small fish and big trees surrounding the area. It was beautiful. Straight out of a postcard. Very idyllic.

My dad really wanted to go into water, so he put a plastic bag around his foot, even though they didn’t allow to take any plastic into the lagoon park. He went in and kept „swimming“ on his back in the 1m deep water always keeping his foot out of water. I admire the dedication. Nothing can stop him.

And that was it, we went to the hospital for the checkup, his foot is healing well, and now we are going with a bus to Phang-nga, where we will stay in bungalows in the middle of a mangrove forest.
